When preparing press-ready digital files,
what size should I build my file to?
Please build your press-ready digital files to bleed size by adding
0 .25" to each dimension.
What is the required bleed?
Our bleed is 0.125" added to all 4 sides. Files not built
correctly may delay the order, or may add costs.
What if my cards don't bleed?
We require ALL files to be built to the full bleed dimension specified
for each trim size. We automatically trim 0.125" off of
each edge, which will result in the desired trim size.
How do I prepare files for trim?
Simply add 0.25" to each overall dimension of your digital
layout (in other words, an eighth of an inch to all sides). Example:
a 5" x 7" would have a bleed size of 5.25" x 7.25".
We offer dozens of downloadable templates that can help you with
your layouts. Simply visit our template
page to download them.
Do you offer design services?
Our focus is on providing the best printing in the Rochester area at competitive pricing. So while we don't offer design services in house, we do partner with several of the area's best graphic designers and agencies. Check out our list of recommended creative services and select the one that's right for you.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Just Press Print will be happy to help you cancel your order prior
to approval. However, orders may be eligible for cancellation
upon request via email. Our Customer Service Team will inform
you of any cancellation charges depending on the stage of the
order. If job is canceled, any labor hours (proof, graphics design,
etc.) or administrative fees (credit cards fees, etc.) will be
subtracted from your refund. (15%-30% of total transaction) Once
the order has been placed successfully, No Refunds are issued
for the Logo, or Graphic design services.

Just Press Print is committed to customer satisfaction. However,
we are not responsible for typing, color, image, or design errors
introduced by customers in the document creation process.

How to prepare your files for Just Press Print:
Follow our simple guidelines and you’ll get
the best results for Just Press Print
We accept the following file formats:
TIF, TIFF, JPEG, JPG, EPS, PNG and PDF
How Big Are Your Files?
The maximum size we can accept per file is 30MB (megabytes). Make
sure you check the resolution of your images before you send
your print files to us.
A Resolution For Better Image Resolution:
To create high quality print products, Just Press Print recommends
that the images in your files are created at 300 dpi (dots-per-inch).
At lower resolution than 300 dpi (example: web images are normally
only 72 dpi and cannot be used in print) there will be insufficient
image quality.
Artwork Colors
Color images and art must be provided in the CMYK (cyan, magenta,
yellow, black) color mode. Black and white images and art must
be provided in the grayscale color mode. This allows us to maintain
a high quality appearance to your printed materials.
Preparing A Bleed:
A “bleed” is the part of paper that will be trimmed
off when the materials are cut to their final size. This is done
to allow a color or image to continue or “bleed” to
the edge of the sheet.
For best results, create your digital files by adding
0.125” (inch) to all sides of your document. All files must
be built to the full bleed dimensions that are specified for each
trim size. We automatically trim 0.125” off each edge, which
will result in the correct trim size. Add 0.25" to the overall
dimension of your digital layout. Example: a 5" x 7" would
have a bleed size of 5.25" x 7.25" and a 8.5"x11" brochure
would have a bleed size of 8.75"x11.25".
Don't Cut Out The Crop Marks:
Make sure you create your digital files with crop marks. Crop marks
are the lines that show us where the paper should be cut to produce
the correct size.
Some Facts About Fonts:
You must embed your fonts in PDF files.
Fonts must be either outlined or converted to paths or curves in
EPS files.
Be aware that some fonts have copyright restrictions and will not
embed in PDF Files.
Mac only notes for Quark Express: Fonts and images must be included
with all files submitted.
Stay In The Safe Zone:
Don’t lose something you’ve worked hard to create!
Remember that all critical elements of your design (text or images)
must be kept at least 0.125" inside the edge. Anything left
close to edge could be cut off during trimming (and it probably
will be!).
Know Your Borders:
Please allow 1/8" cutting space around your design. We don’t
recommend the use of borders, as shifting in the cutting process
may occur and we cannot guarantee that borders appear completely “even”.
Use Our Templates:
As a service to our customers, Just Press Print has developed dozens
of downloadable templates in EPS and JPG format that can help
you properly design and prepare your files. Just visit
our templates page to view and download them.
Proofing:
Just Press Print prices include the processing of one set of your
uploaded files, from which we will create one “digital
proof”. After we receive your uploaded files, we will review
each file. If we find any problems, we'll contact you ASAP, otherwise
we will e-mail you a digital proof of your job within one business
day). You can review the status of your order online at any time
under your account and track its progress by the assigned job
number.
